Fashion Director
Job Description
Vogue Scandinavia is looking for a talented Fashion Director for our Stockholm team to supervise the process of creating, developing, commissioning and producing editorials and fashion stories for the magazine and website. A successful candidate should be passionate about the latest fashion trends and be able to bring creative ideas to life. This person will be responsible for managing the fashion department, organising shoots and liaising with external teams. Styling editorials and shoots, both for print and online, will be a part of this role. The Fashion Director will work closely with the Editor-In-Chief.
Responsibilities
- Manage and run the fashion department
- Oversee and coordinate the production of Vogue Scandinavia fashion stories along with producing their own
- Coordinate all fashion shoots and ensure that everything runs smoothly with desired outcomes
- Liaise with national and international stakeholders including agents, stylists, photographers, models, hair and make-up artists
- Work closely with the internal management team, including marketing, sales and digital.
- Decide on story ideas and themes, alongside the editorial team
- Make sure the fashion department is working with a 360o view over different platforms
- Responsibility of editorial budgets, together with the Head of Production.
- Consistently create interesting, high-quality content
- Oversee layout (artwork, design and photography)
- Strong fashion knowledge with ability to keep up to date with the latest fashion, talents, photographers news
- Work closely with the Editor-In-Chief
- Loyalty to Vogue Scandinavia and Condé Nast’s values and goals
Skills & Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry
- Strong organisational skills and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on deadline in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in styling within a fashion magazine
- Experience in coordinating major fashion shoots
- Previous experience in an editorial position
- Previous experience in a management position
- Strong contacts within the industry on an international level
- Strong editing skills with an excellent portfolio
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to delegate work
- Previous proven budget responsibility
- Leading a fashion team
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in the fashion industry
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
- 2+ years of experience at the Director level

- Extensive international network within the fashion industry
- Experience of working or studying overseas
- Great leadership skills
- Masters in Fashion, Journalism or English related field
